¿Quieres probar un programa pero no te atreves por si dañas tu sistema operativo? ¿Te gustaría tener otro sistema operativo pero sin quitar el tuyo? ¿Imaginas probar Windows Vista desde tu XP?
Todo esto es posible con VirtualBox, una utilidad gratuita que crea un ordenador virtual dentro del tuyo, con su sistema operativo totalmente independiente.
De esta forma, podrás crear ‘máquinas virtuales’ con diferentes sistemas operativos y así tener a tu disposición un Windows 95, un Vista, un 2000 un XP o incluso un Linux. Todo desde tu sistema operativo actual.
Para utilizarlo, primero deberás conseguir o crear tu mismo una máquina virtual del sistema operativo que desees, después, cargarla con el programa y listo, arrancará como si de un nuevo sistema operativo se tratase. Por cierto, el programa no ocupa demasiado, pero ten presente que las máquinas virtuales suelen ocupar bastante espacio, fácilmente de cuatro a seis gigabytes.

Estimado , una consulta : antes de bajarlo quisiera me confirmes si se puede instalar algún sistema en 64 bits, ya que en estos momentos no puedo bajarlo ya que aquí en esta maquina prestada esta restringida la descarga, gracias.

Lo instalé probe con el sistema operativo XP para probar y abre la máquina virtual pero me cuando lo inicio aparece una pantalla negra que dice: FATAL!No bootable medium found! System halted, en realidad no sé como se usa. Si alguien me puede orientar muchas gracias.

Yo usaba la 4.3.12 y al instalar esta me ha dado un error y no me dejaba entrar. He tenido que reinstalar la anterior.
Mi equipo es W 8.1 de 64. No me atrevo a volver a instalar la nueva.

No habia probado esta utilidad, lo tengo montado en un ordenador Apple mac Pro Early 3.1 y funciona muy bien emulanto Windows 7 y mejor Linux Mint 17.1.

Tengo dudas porque no me detecta bien (no se como hacerlo), los sistema de almacenamiento de aplicaciones a instalar en los dos sistemas virtuales.

Ruego y agradeceré ayuda.

Hola Amigos. Tengo un windows xp. Me he instalado virtualbox con el android x86 4.4. La instalación ha ido perfecta, pero en “informes de la tablet” en”openGL driver version” aparece null.
Seguro que hago algo mal pero no se qué es.
Mi idea es llegar a tener watasapp en el ordenador.

A ver si consigo que funcione. Desde que me puse Windows 8.1 -ya varios formateos- no he conseguido arrancar virtualBox, siempre salta un error con el servicio virtualizado COM o algo así y se cierra. Probaré este que tengo el portable y funcionó la primera vez, y luego se olvidó de funcionar. jajaja Gracias jimmy.
