Esta versión, además de contar con una gran cantidad de controladores SATA y Wireless Lan, cuenta con una variedad de controladores de audio HDA y vídeo.

Además, se ha incluido al Sistema Operativo la capacidad de poder crear Imágenes ISO a partir de CDs, así como poder crear copias de los mismos o quemar la imagen en un CD con un simple click derecho del ratón, lo que significa que no necesitarás de software extra para gestionar las imágenes ISO a menos que necesites hacerlo de una forma más profesional.

En cuanto a su apariencia, es muy parecida a la versión 2, se ha cambiado la pantalla de bienvenida por una más vistosa, además de algunos iconos. Queda aclarado que no se instalan programas extra para cambiar la apariencia, se ha trabajado directamente sobre las DLLs que gestionan dichos iconos.

Ya que se ha respetado la opción de reparar el sistema y la consola de recuperación, se hace necesario aceptar el contrato de licencia en dos ocasiones, en el primer paso de la preparación de la instalación y faltando 37 minutos para que finalice la misma; por lo que no se considera totalmente desatendida.

También respetado la libre opción de elegir tu propio nombre de usuario, así como la existencia de la correspondiente cuenta de administrador auxiliar.

Si quieres instalar las Versiones de .NET Framework, puedes instalarlas de la forma tradicional ejecutando el autorun del CD, en donde encontrarás hasta la versión 3 con SP1 del mismo.
